The Association for Medical and Bio-Informatics, Singapore (AMBIS) is an organization that promotes excellence in Medical and Bio-Informatics and advances the development of this emerging discipline in Singapore. AMBIS is actively involved in promoting collaborations and exchanges among the medical and bio-informatics community through conferences, meetings, seminars, workshops and symposia.

The Indian Association for Medical Informatics (IAMI) was established in 1993 as a non-government, professional organization. The IAMI membership comprises of scientists and physicians who perceive a need to sensitize the Indian Medical fraternity to the benefits of Information Technology (IT) in healthcare and facilitate IT adoption in the areas of patient care. Doctors, nurses, technicians, biomedical engineers, academics, administrators, consultants, healthcare-IT vendors and students ( national and International ) constitute the 500+ voting members of IAMI. Government bodies such as NIC (National Informatics Centre), CDAC (Centre for Development of Advanced Computing), National institutions such as IIT, IIM, IIIT, AIIMS, NIMHANS, JiPMER, SGPGI-Lucknow are also well represented within our membership. IAMI also has dynamic regional chapters, which are independent units and are locally very active. Key positions in both major public and private sector health care institutions are held by IAMI members and they form the actual decision makers in policy issues relating to IT applications in healthcare. Indian Journal of Medical Informatics (IJMI) is the official organ of the IAMI. The IAMI is a member of IMIA since 2006.
